SE 27 NE NORTH STAINLEY WITH NEW ROAD SLENINGFORD (north side, off)

2/101 Stables approximately 150 metres south-west of 6.7.67 Sleningford Park (formerly listed as Stables at Sleningford Park)

Stables, now house and outbuildings. Mid - late C18. Coursed rubble and ashlar, stone slate roof. Rusticated quoins. 4 blocks around square courtyard. North-east front: 2 storeys, 3 bays - the central bay projecting and with round-arched carriage entrance. Flanking pairs of Diocletian windows, blocked to left. Projecting impost bands and architraves. First floor - 5 square sash windows with architraves. Moulded eaves cornice, pediment over central bay, hipped roof. Courtyard: south-west range: centre, 2 pairs of board doors to carriage house; quoins indicate original limits to this range which is now linked to side ranges. Board door left, round-arched passage to right. Sash windows. Flanking north-west and south-east ranges: 2 board doors, 16-pane sashes, all with sawn-stone surrounds.
