Description
West Farmhouse is a house dating from the late 18th century, with later additions. It is constructed of ashlar stone and has pantile roofs. The building is two storeys high and features two bays, along with a lower two-storey, two-bay right wing and a three-bay, one-storey left-hand wing.
The main house has a 20th-century board door located in the second bay, which is set within a gabled 20th-century porch. Above this door and to the left, there are three-light side-sliding sash windows with glazing bars, all of which have stone sills and lintels with keystones. The two right-hand bays contain two-light side-sliding sashes with glazing bars and stone sills, except for the ground floor window on the left, which is a 20th-century window set in a blocked door opening. The left side of the 18th-century block features a shaped kneeler and stone copings. The house has end stacks and one stack on the ridge.
In the left wing, there is a 20th-century French window on the right, and to the left, there are side-sliding sashes with glazing bars. The left side of this wing also has stone coping.
