Description
Thimbleby Grange is a farmhouse dating from the late 18th century or early 19th century. It is constructed of coursed squared stone with an ashlar finish and features a Welsh slate roof. The building has three storeys and three bays, along with two lower back wings. The central entrance consists of a six-panel door topped by a fanlight with radial glazing bars. The doorcase includes quoined jambs, impost bands, and an archivolt with a keystone. All window openings are fitted with stone sills and raised keystones. The ground and first floors have four-pane sash windows, while the second floor features a central blind opening, with the other openings having 20th-century two-light windows. The exterior is adorned with shaped kneelers, stone coping, and end stacks. Inside, the room to the left contains an inglenook fireplace.
