Description

East Cottage is an early 19th-century house located on Thimbleby Main Street. It is built of ashlar stone and features a pantile roof. The house has two storeys and two bays, with a slightly recessed one-bay, one-storey addition on the left side. The central entrance consists of a half-glazed door, which is flanked by 20th-century casement windows. The one-storey wing has a board door to the right and a four-pane side-sliding sash window. All windows in the main block have stone sills, and all openings are topped with plain stone lintels. The building is adorned with shaped kneelers, stone coping, and end stacks. It is included for its group value.
