Description
Healaugh Manor West is a house from the 19th century that incorporates earlier materials and has 20th-century additions. It features a facade made of magnesian limestone ashlar, with pinkish-brown brick and a cement tile roof. The building has a central hall plan with outshuts at the rear and left sides. It is two storeys high and has three bays. The central entrance is a 19th-century panelled door set beneath a four-centred arch in a chamfered surround. The outer bays contain windows with three lancet lights, which have chamfered mullions and surrounds. Above the door, there are two trefoiled lights with straight heads. A corbel table runs along the eaves level. The roof is swept, and there are stacks at the ends. The house is believed to have reused materials from Healaugh Priory. The windows in the outer bays are similar to those found in the priory, and the corbel table resembles that on the south side of St Andrew's Church in Healaugh. The trefoiled lights also echo those in the church. Additionally, various runic fragments, a medieval coffin, and a cat with a shield are incorporated into the facade.
