Description
Old Hall Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the early to mid 18th century. It is constructed of coursed rubblestone, ashlar, and red brick, topped with a pantile roof. The building has two storeys and four bays, with the left bay being lower. It features brick quoins and a four-panel door with an overlight, set in a stone-quoined surround with a keyed stone flat arch.
On the ground floor, there are four-pane sash windows beneath stone lintels with stone sills. The first floor has a four-pane side-sliding sash in the left-hand bay, while the other bays have four-pane sashes, all with stone sills. The eaves are dentilled, and there are shaped kneelers with stone coping and end stacks.
Inside, the ground-floor room in the lower bay has an inglenook, large-scantling beams, and a dog-leg staircase leading to a farmhands' room above. The main staircase features splat balusters.
