Description

Ivy Farmhouse is a 16th-century farmhouse located on Park Lane in Borrowby. The building is constructed of coursed square stone, with ashlar detailing, and has a pantile roof. It originally comprised three bays. A 19th-century six-panel door with a four-pane overlight is located to the right of the left-hand bay. The left-hand bay has four-pane sash windows set in chamfered surrounds. The right-hand bay also features four-pane sash windows. The central bay contains a two-light window in a chamfered surround with four-pane sashes. Above this window is a four-pane sash in a blocked opening that is similar to the window below, and a small 20th-century casement window to its left. The farmhouse has shaped kneelers, stone coping, and end stacks, one to the left and one along the ridge. The rear elevation features a scattered arrangement of chamfered two-light and three-light mullion windows.
