Description
The Hall is a farmhouse dated 1719, with some later alterations. It is constructed of red brick with stone dressings and has graduated stone slate roofs. The building is two storeys high and features five bays, with two wings at the rear—one full height and the other lower. The layout follows a lobby-entry plan. The corners of the building have chamfered ashlar quoins, and the central bay projects forward. The central entrance consists of a six-panel door topped by a four-pane overlight, all set beneath a flat brick arch with a keystone. Above the door is a stone tablet inscribed with '1719'. All the windows are two-pane sashes, also featuring flat brick arches with keystones and stone sills. There is a noticeable space between the tops of the first-floor windows and the dentilled eaves. The building has shaped kneelers and stone coping, with chimney stacks at both ends and one along the ridge.
