Description
Nos 89 and 90 on Church Street are 18th-century buildings that stand three storeys tall and are rendered with a pantile roof. Number 90 features a gabled 19th-century dormer with carved bargeboarding and a finial, along with a moulded coved eaves cornice. It has five windows arranged in a 2:3 pattern, with one blocked window, all featuring flat arches and double-hung sashes without glazing bars. Number 89 has a 19th-century shop front with consoles and a fascia, and two windows with modern glazing. Number 90 also boasts an attractive late 19th-century shop front with an entablature and cornice, along with modern glazing. There is a segmental arched passage doorway with a keystone. Both buildings have basement windows. They are part of a group that includes Nos 84 to 90, the former White Horse Inn, the Black Horse Public House, Nos 93 to 100, Nos 105 to 112A, and Nos 114 to 117.
