Description
This group of three memorials is located on the west side of the south path, approximately four metres from the porch of the Church of St James. They date from the mid-18th century and are made of ashlar sandstone.
The southernmost stone features a slab with a wave-shaped top, carved with a skull and cross-bones, and has a worn inscription commemorating Mary Williams, who died in 1747. The middle stone is also a slab with a wave-shaped top, commemorating William Bell, who died in 1765. The northernmost stone has an irregular-shaped top with volutes framing an armorial shield that includes a chevron and three castles, along with a worn inscription commemorating William Bell.
