Description

Carlton House is an early 19th-century building constructed of pinkish brick with stone dressings. The roof has been replaced with modern ridged concrete tiles, and there are brick chimneys at either end. The building features a moulded eaves cornice, bands at the floor levels, and alternating quoins. It stands two and a half storeys tall and has three slightly irregular windows. To the right of the centre, there is a full-height rounded bow, and to the left, a segmental carriage entrance. The sash windows include glazing bars and are positioned very low in the top storey. The entrance features a six-panel door with an oblong fanlight, set within a doorcase supported by half columns, complete with a frieze and cornice.
