BENTHAM High Bentham MAIN STREET (south side) Nos 15A, 15B and 15C, and Kings Arms, KING STREET

(Formerly listed as Taylor and Robertson, MAIN STREET

GV II Formerly King's Arms Inn, converted to shops and apartments. Dated 1741 in right hand return, refronted 1897. Street frontage; watershot masonry, stone dressings, stone slate roof. Three storeys, four bays. Right-hand return: slobbered coursed rubble, stone dressings, stone slate roof. Three storeys, two bays. Right-hand entrance has plain surround and pediment with pulvinated frieze; six panel door. Two windows per storey all with plain surrounds and sashes with glazing bars except second floor which have chamfered surrounds and three/three sashes. Between upper two floors is stone panel with moulded surround, fluting and imitation raised and fielded wood panel containing initials W/W M and date. Quoins.
