Description
Masonic Hall is a former house that has been converted into a hall, built in the early 19th century for Thomas Hodgson Johnson. The building is constructed from stucco and features a slate roof. It stands two storeys high and has five bays. The central entrance is highlighted by a Tuscan porch, which includes two engaged columns and two freestanding columns, all with a noticeable curve, along with an entablature. The entrance door is an eight-panel design, with the upper four panels being glazed.
All windows have plain lintels; the ground floor windows are partially blocked at the base and feature sashes with glazing bars. The upper floor has a sill band and includes twelve-pane sashes in three windows, with the left-hand window being partly blocked, while the remaining two windows have 20th-century casements. The building is adorned with a moulded eaves cornice and has a hipped slate roof, which includes a chimney stack on the left-hand return and another stack on the right side of the rear wall.
