Description
Mount Pleasant is a house located on Bentham Main Street in High Bentham, dating from the late 18th century to early 19th century, with alterations made in the late 19th to early 20th century. The building is constructed of stucco with stone dressings and features a stone slate roof. Originally, it was two storeys and double fronted, but it now has a projecting bay on the left side added during the later alterations. The entrance has a plain surround and a six-panel door, with the upper two panels being glazed. All windows have plain surrounds, projecting sills, and sashes, except for the left-hand bay which has a two-light window with fixed lights on the ground floor. The house also features quoins, eaves modillions, gable end stacks, and a ridge stack at the former left-hand gable, along with kneelers.
