Description
19 Newbiggin is a late 18th-century building that has been converted from two houses into one shop, with some alterations made in the mid-19th century. The structure is made of painted brick and features a brick dentil eaves cornice. It has brick stacks located at the left end and both left and right of the center of the pantile roof.
The building is two stories high with a three-window front. On the left side, there is a double shop front, while the right side has a single shop front. Both shop fronts are adorned with plain pilasters that have imposts, moulded cornices, and blind boxes. The left end features a three-light canted bay window with turned glazing bars, while the other windows are made of plate glass. The doors are glazed.
On the first floor, the two windows on the left are single-pane sashes, and the right window is a four-pane sash. All first-floor windows have painted stone sills and flat arches. Additionally, there is one roof light on the right side.
