Description

This flour mill dates from the 18th or early 19th century. It is constructed of local red brick and features an English garden wall. The building is three storeys high and comprises eight bays on the right-hand side (with alternate windows blocked), and four bays on the left. The right-hand section features segment-headed openings, which are mostly fixed lights, with a mix of modern and original small-paned windows. Three original doors remain. Two modern garage doors have been inserted. The mill is listed as the last remaining example of Stokesley’s former role as a commercial centre.
