GILLING EAST CHURCH LANE (south side, off) Stable Block to the Old Rectory

GV II

Stable block to the Old Rectory (q.v.). 1840 on datestone. Hammer dressed limestone, Welsh slate roof. 2-storey central gabled section flanked by single storey wings. Two 6-panel double carriage doors beneath keyed elliptical channelled arches carried on band. First floor. Sashes with glazing bars, beneath pediment containing blind lunette inscribed JABR 1840. Left wing: wide double door with boarded window opening to'left and fixed window to right. Right wing, wide double door with fixed window to left and 6-panel door to right.
