Description

The Clock Tower at Gilling Castle, dating from the mid-18th century, is now part of a 1930s range that is not of special interest. It is constructed from limestone and features a lead cupola. The tower is square in shape and has a clock face with a single hand and Roman numerals that faces south. This clock is situated beneath an open belfry with keyed round arches, topped by a cupola that includes a weathervane.
