GV II

House, now offices. Mid C18, with late C19 alteration. Front of rendered brick, largely obscured by ivy, with raised quoins; pantile roof with coped right gable; brick end stacks, one rebuilt, one truncated. Rear wing of red brick, formerly painted, with sandstone quoins and slate pent roof. Central-entry plan with staircase wing at rear. 2-storey 7-window front. Front door of 6 raised-and-fielded panels with overlight; second similar door inserted in former window opening at centre right. All windows are single-pane sashes, over raised sillband on each floor, and all openings have eared architraves. Rear: staircase wing at right; round-headed, radial-glazed staircase window beneath semicircular arch of gauged brick. Staircase retains some slender turned balusters.
