Description
Greenbrough is a farmhouse, now a house, dating from the mid to late 18th century. It is constructed of ashlar sandstone and has a Welsh slate roof. The building is two storeys high and features three bays. The corners are accentuated with chamfered rusticated quoins, and there are sill bands along the windows. The ground-floor openings have raised surrounds that alternate with quoining.
The central entrance consists of a late 19th-century part-glazed six-panel door, which is situated below a boarded overlight that is painted to resemble a fanlight. The windows are sash style with glazing bars; those on the first floor are framed in keyed architraves, while the central first-floor window is blind and contains a painted sundial. A moulded cornice runs along the top of the building.
To the left, the roof features a shaped kneeler and ashlar coping, with the roof hipped to the right. There is an ashlar stack at the left end and a rendered brick stack on the right. The rear elevation has been altered, featuring a canted bay window and a 20th-century extension. The right return of the building has a blocked cellar opening.
