Description

This garden sculpture, located approximately 20 metres south of Aldby Park, dates from the early 18th century and is inspired by the work of John Nost. It is made of limestone and stands about 2 metres high. The sculpture features a square plinth and a squared pear-shaped pedestal that is decorated with scrolls and stylised foliage. Atop the pedestal, there are two figures of children, one dressed in Roman-style attire, sitting on a goose.
