Description
High Saw Mill is a corn watermill that has been converted into a sawmill and house. It dates from the early 19th century and is constructed of rubble with a stone slate roof. The building has an L-shaped plan and stands three storeys high with three bays. The windows feature segmental arches made of rubble voussoirs. On the ground floor, there is an enlarged opening from the waterwheel chamber, which is now blocked, along with two 16-pane sash windows. The first and second floors also have sash windows with glazing bars. The roof is hipped, and there are stacks at the ends. The entrance is located on the first floor of the right return.
