Description
Mount Ferrant House is a house dating from the mid-18th century. It is constructed of limestone ashlar with a timber outshut and has a pantile roof. The original layout was a three-cell hearth passage plan. The building has two storeys and features three first-floor windows. A 20th-century outshut at the front includes a boarded door with one two-light Yorkshire sash window to the left and two to the right. On the first floor, there are two-light Yorkshire sash windows. Wooden lintels are present throughout the house, and there are end and ridge stacks. A barn to the left is not of special interest.
