Description

The gates to the south of Clifford Hall Cottages date from around 1820. They are made of cast iron and ashlar. The structure features a pair of ashlar banded and rusticated gate piers topped with bull finials. The gates themselves are crafted from cast iron and include iron sun turrets at the top and bottom corners, along with radiating iron spokes. The design of these gates closely resembles those created by Thomas Telford for the Holyhead Road, suggesting they may be inspired by his work.
