Description
Spa House is an early 18th-century house constructed of reddish-brown brick. It features dentilled eaves and a pantile roof with end chimneys. The building has two storeys, an outshot at the rear, and consists of three bays. To the left, there is a lower brick wing. The central entrance has a 19th-century panelled door set in a doorcase with brackets. On the ground floor, there are two 19th-century canted bay windows with sash windows that have glazing bars. The upper floor has sash windows with glazing bars set in flush moulded cases. On the south gable end, there are three sash windows of the same type, along with a horizontal sliding sash window that also features glazing bars. Spa House was mentioned in 1723 and was originally described as thatched.
