Description
Thirsk Hall Cottages are two cottages located on Cemetery Road in Thirsk, dating from the 18th century and early 19th century. They are constructed of reddish-brown brick and feature pantile roofs. The cottages are two storeys high and consist of two bays. The first cottage has cogged eaves, while the second, which is the later addition, is slightly taller. Both cottages have central entrances with panelled doors set in wooden cases that include pilasters, moulded architraves, and dentilled triangular pediments. The windows are squat sash types in flush moulded cases. These cottages have group value with St Mary's Church and the wall of Thirsk Hall.
