Description
No. 35 on Kirkgate is an 18th-century house built of local pinkish-brown brick. It features string courses at each floor level and has a Welsh slate roof with stone verges and kneelers. The building is three storeys high and has four bays. To the left, there is a carriageway with a late 19th-century wooden surround. The entrance is accessed by two stone steps leading to a panelled door topped by an oblong fanlight. The doorcase, dating from the 19th century, includes pilasters, a dentil cornice, and panelled reveals and soffit. The windows are sash types set in flush wooden cases, complete with stucco heads and cills.
