Description
Dob Park Bridge is a bridge over the River Washburn, likely built in the early 17th century with repairs made in the 18th century. It is constructed from gritstone and features a single-span high round arch, designed for packhorse width. The surface is paved with stone setts, and the parapet is made of flat blocks tied together with iron staples. This bridge historically carried the route from Dob Park Mill and probably Dob Park Lodge across the river to Norwood and Fewston, and it spans the parish boundaries of Newall with Clifton and Weston.
