Description

The Manor is an early to mid-18th century house, with origins in the 17th century and 20th-century alterations. It was formerly listed as a farmhouse. The construction is of slobbered rubble with stone dressings, topped by a slate roof. The building is two storeys high and originally comprised three bays, the central one projecting as an outshut porch. A set of five semi-circular steps leads to the front entrance, which has a chamfered surround and a circa-1980 plank door. A window at lintel level to the right of the entrance has a 20th-century fixed light. Single windows on each floor flank the porch to the left and right, each with two lights, moulded surrounds and mullions; these are 20th-century casements. Gable stacks are located on the left-hand side and central ridge. The left-hand return shows a small, chamfered 17th-century window on each floor to the left of the chimney flue.
