Description
The Swan is an inn that was converted into three cottages and is now two cottages, dated 1747. It is constructed of rubble with a stone slate roof and has two storeys featuring four first-floor windows. The building has quoins and a central part-glazed board door set in an ashlar doorcase on plinths. Between the third and fourth bays, there is another part-glazed door within an ashlar architrave, and above it is a stone inscribed "H I A 1749". The windows are sash style with glazing bars, framed in ashlar architraves. There is a small window on the first floor between the first and second bays, with a similar blocked window below, which may have been fire windows. The building features a shaped kneeler and ashlar coping to the left, as well as stacks at the ends and between the second and third bays.
