Description

Morton Bridge is a bridge built between 1800 and 1803 by John Carr. It is constructed from ashlar and features four segmental arches with voussoirs and hood-moulds. Triangular-section cutwaters rise into canted pedestrian retreats. There is a pilaster on either side of the end arches, and the round end piers have hemispherical caps. The bridge includes a band and a parapet. Notably, half of the bridge is located in the parish of Scruton.
