Description
Hill House is a house built in the late 18th century to early 19th century. It is constructed from coursed sandstone and features a stone slate roof. The building has two storeys and three bays, with a plinth and quoins. On the ground floor, in the third bay, there is a segmental-arched carriage entrance with board doors and an ashlar surround. To the left of this entrance, there is a blocked doorway. Between the first and second bays, there is a 20th-century gabled glazed porch, which has a part-glazed inner door in an ashlar surround. The house has sash windows with glazing bars, ashlar projecting sills, and deep lintels. It also features small shaped kneelers and ashlar coping. There are stacks at the ends and between the second and third bays. The house is included for its group value.
