Description
No. 38 High Row is a cottage dating from the mid-18th century. It is built from coursed rubble and features a roof made of interlocking tiles. The cottage has two storeys with two windows on the first floor. On the ground floor, to the right, there is a 20th-century part-glazed door leading into the house, alongside a boarded door that provides access to a passage, both set within quoined surrounds. To the left, there is a 16-pane sash window. On the first floor, there is a sash window with glazing bars and an 8-pane sash window, both framed in ashlar surrounds. Above the left window, there is a small opening that leads to a loft under the eaves. The building features shaped kneelers and ashlar coping, with an ashlar stack located at the left end.
