Description
South Farmhouse is a house dating from the late 17th century to early 18th century, with a later 18th-century raising of the right section. It is constructed from limestone rubble and has a pantile roof. The building features a hearth-passage entry and a continuous outshut at the rear. The left side has two storeys with three first-floor windows, while the right side has three storeys with a first-floor window. On the left, there is a 20th-century half-glazed door, and throughout the house, there are casements with wooden lintels. The right side has a two-panel door with a divided overlight to the left, and casements beneath wedge lintels on both the ground and first floors. There is evidence that the wall was heightened to accommodate two fixed windows on the second floor. The roof is steeply pitched and swept, with a stack on the left end, while the right side has a higher roof line with end stacks.
