Description

Manor Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the 18th century, with extensions and alterations made in the early 19th century and further changes in the 20th century. The original 18th-century section is constructed of squared sandstone, while the 19th-century extension is made of red brick laid in English garden wall bond. The roof is covered with pantiles and features brick stacks.

The farmhouse is two stories high with five windows on the 18th-century part, which has quoins. The 19th-century extension to the left has two stories and three windows. The front of the 18th-century section has a left-of-centre part-glazed and panelled door that is beneath a blocked radial fanlight. The doorcase is adorned with fluted attached columns and a cornice hood supported by paired consoles. On either side of the door, there are inserted flat-topped bows with 12-pane sashes in fluted frames that have angle paterae. A small 8-pane sash window has been inserted at the centre of the first floor, while the remaining first-floor windows are 12-pane sashes, all featuring flat arches and stone sills.

The front of the 19th-century extension has 12-pane sashes on both floors, with stone sills and painted timber lintels. There is a raised eaves band, and the building has coped gables and shaped kneelers. The stacks are located at the ends, centre left, and left-of-centre. At the rear, there is a central six-panel door set in a doorcase with reeded pilasters and a cornice hood. Additionally, a Gothick-glazed Venetian window has been inserted at the left end.
