Description

This is a late 18th-century farmhouse with an attached cottage, situated on Great Barugh Lane and Little Barugh Lane. Built of dressed sandy limestone, the building features a pantile roof and brick stacks. It is two storeys high with a symmetrical facade of two plus one windows. A 20th-century board door is located centrally on the house front, and another is situated on the left side of the attached cottage. Large-pane horizontal-sliding sash windows with painted sills are present throughout, each with a heavy lintel. The gables are coped and feature shaped kneelers, and stacks are positioned at the end of the main block and at the junction between the house and cottage.
