Description
High North Holme Farmhouse is a farmhouse built around 1780, with later extensions and alterations. The building is constructed of rendered stone, with a brick extension and a slate roof, featuring brick stacks. It has a central stairhall plan that is one and a half rooms deep, with a rear service wing added. The front of the farmhouse is two stories high and has five windows. A central six-panel door is located under a rectangular fanlight, and the doorcase is adorned with pilasters and a dentilled cornice. Throughout the building, there are 12-pane sash windows with stone sills. Inside, dado panelling has survived in the ground floor room to the right.
