Description
Manor Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the late 18th century, although it has earlier origins and has undergone later alterations. The building features coursed sandstone at the rear, red brick on the sides and front, and a pantile roof with brick stacks. It has a central stairhall plan that is two rooms deep, along with a service extension. The street-facing side is two stories high with three windows, and there is a single-storey extension. The corners of the building have flush quoins. The central entrance is a four-panel door, with an additional door leading to the extension. Above the main door is a tall round-headed staircase window, which is set under an arched surround that springs from imposts. The remaining windows are two-light, small-paned horizontal sliding sashes with stone sills. All openings have thin timber lintels, except for the staircase windows. Inside, there is a fireplace with a bressumer in the ground floor room to the left.
