Description
No. 38 Yorkersgate is a mid-19th century office building located in Malton. It features pink and cream mottled brickwork in Flemish bond, with orange-red brick quoins and dressings. The building has a brick stack at the left end and a pantile roof. The central-entry plan includes a three-storey façade with three windows. The entrance consists of panelled double doors with an overlight, flanked by tripartite sash windows that have 4-pane centre sashes. The first floor has similar windows, with a small 4-pane sash in the middle. On the second floor, there are two squat tripartite windows with 6-pane centre sashes. All windows are set on stone sills, with the ground floor sills painted. Each opening features cambered arches made of brick.
