Description

Laver Banks Bridge, also known as Galphay Mill Bridge, is a bridge dating from the late 18th century to the early 19th century. It is constructed of coursed squared gritstone with vertical tooling. The bridge features a central wide segmental arch that is flanked by narrower arches. There are no cutwaters, and the piers rise as shallow buttresses to the level of the parapet. A projecting band is present at road level, along with shallow gabled coping. The bridge spans the parish boundary with Lindrick with Studley Royal and Fountains.
