Description
Wood Top Farmhouse and the attached barn date from the late 18th century or early 19th century, with the barn likely being older. The farmhouse is constructed from dressed stone and features a stone slate roof with a stone ridge and dressed quoins. The roof extends over the barn, which is made of rubble and has large dressed quoins. The building is two storeys high and has three bays, with the left-hand bay featuring a separate door that matches the overall construction. The windows have flush square stone mullions, with one missing from the ground floor on the left side. The window arrangement consists of three, two, and two lights on the ground floor, and two, two, five, and two lights on the upper floor. There is a stone porch with a moulded doorway, and the gable includes a finial with the inscription "W & H H 1893." The rear wall shows a separation between the house and cottage, but not between the house and barn. The interior has not been inspected.
