Description

A farmhouse and attached barn, dating back to 1695 (as evidenced by a datestone), with alterations made in the 19th century. The building is constructed of hammer-dressed stone, with a stone slate roof featuring a chimney with kneelers and coping. The north side of the farmhouse has an entrance within a stone porch, which includes a "wuzzing hole" used for wool preparation. The windows on the north side are 19th-century replacements. The south side of the farmhouse contains two 3-light double chamfered stone mullion windows, though the mullions have been removed. The attached barn is built of large stones and has a blocked cart entry adjacent to the farmhouse. A blocked, chamfered doorway with a datestone reading "II:1695:ID" is visible within the barn wall, concealed behind a lean-to shippon. The interior of the farmhouse was not inspected.
