Description
Swincliffe Side Farmhouse is a house dating from the mid-17th century, with later alterations and a roof that was likely raised in the late 19th century. It is constructed of coursed gritstone rubble and features a roof made of small purple slates. The building has two storeys and three bays, with quoins at the corners. The central entrance consists of a six-panel door set within a chamfered quoined surround, topped by a shallow triangular door-head. The ground floor has recessed chamfered mullion windows with three lights, while the first floor has a similar window on the right and flat-faced mullions on the left. Notably, the lintel of the ground-floor right window has been raised. A central banded stack is present. The interior has not been inspected.
