Description

This boundary stone, dating from the mid to late 18th century, is made of gritstone and stands approximately 60 centimetres high. It features inscriptions in deeply-cut Roman letters: 'T F' on the west side and 'E L' on the east side. Most of the stone is hidden within the dry-stone wall where it is built. This stone marks the boundary between the Farnley estate, associated with T Fawkes, and the Harewood estate, linked to Edwin Lascelles, who died in 1795.
