Description
Stone House Farmhouse is a farmhouse that likely dates from the late 17th century. It is constructed of magnesian limestone coursed rubble and features a roof made of stone slate and pantiles. The building has an L-shaped plan and is two storeys tall, with three windows on the first floor. The entrance is off-centre and consists of a 20th-century panelled door set beneath a flat lintel. There are three 4-light windows with chamfered mullions and surrounds, although the one on the right has been replaced in the 20th century. A band runs along the first floor, and there are 3-light windows with chamfered mullions and surrounds on that level, with the right window having been recut. The roof is hipped to the left and features ridge and end stacks. The rear of the farmhouse has similar windows. Inside, the farmhouse has beamed ceilings with exposed joists.
