Description
The garden wall, dating from the early 19th century, extends southwards from the southeast corner of the Talbot Hotel, which was formerly known as The Cloisters. It is constructed of reused 17th-century orange-red brick that is bonded irregularly, topped with flat stone coping. The wall generally stands between 2 to 3 meters high and runs for approximately 25 meters. It features pilaster buttresses on its west side, and the top of the wall is ramped as it ascends over the top terrace leading to the rear of York House.
