Description
This is an 18th-century barn located approximately 250 metres west of Low Stripe Farm. The barn is constructed of coursed gritstone rubble with a graduated stone slate roof. It has five bays, with an aisle on the east side of the south side. The north side features a keyed, segmental arched cart-entry with quoins and double doors. A square hayloft window is situated under the eaves to the left, and regularly spaced square vents are also present. The rear of the barn has an opposing cart-entry, sheltered by a porch which continues an outshut covering the two bays to the right. On the left return side are byre doorways leading into the outshut, and a square owl hole is visible in the gable. Inside, queen-strut trusses are present, and two aisle posts support trusses to the outshut.
