Description
Dotterel Cottage Farmhouse is an early 19th-century farmhouse that has undergone some alterations and an extension in the late 19th century. It is constructed of mottled brick, featuring a Flemish bond front and English garden wall bond on the rest of the structure, with a plinth. The farmhouse has red brick dressings and a slate roof. It follows a central-entry plan with a rear service extension and is two stories tall with a three-window front. The entrance consists of a half-glazed panelled door with an overlight, set within a pilaster doorcase that has a bracketed hood. Above the door is a radial-glazed arched sash window, while the other windows are 16-pane sashes. All windows are set in quoined openings with cambered arches and painted stone sills. The building features end stacks on a hipped roof.
