Description

Moor View is a farmhouse dating to 1677. It is constructed of squared rubble with a stone slate roof. The building likely originally comprised three units, though it has been altered on the left-hand side. A two-storey gabled porch is situated between the first and second bays, topped with an ornamental finial. The outer doorway of the porch is chamfered and has a battlemented lintel, above which is an illegible inscription. A blocked, chamfered doorway is located on the first floor at the left-hand end, bearing the raised lettering "EH 1677". The left-hand ground floor has been altered to create a garage. To the right of the porch, a string course marks the level below the windows, with two three-light double-chamfered windows on the ground floor and two two-light windows above; all windows lack their mullions. There are two ridge chimneys, one with a substantial table. The interior has not been inspected but is reported to contain a firehood bressumer.
