Description

This carving, located approximately 30 metres north-east of The Priory, dates from the 19th century and features a 14th-century finial. Made of limestone, it has a square base and a truncated pyramid shape, reaching a total height of about 1.75 metres. The carving is richly detailed in a vernacular style, showcasing buildings and rural scenes, and is topped with a reused crocketed finial. The origins of this intriguing piece remain unknown.
